What is this board?

This is an AAC communication board.

  • what they want to do next

How can I use this board?

1. Show the board
Place it where the person can see it clearly.

2. Point to symbols and words
Model slowly. For example: Asking “Do you want water?” , and point at want

3. Give time to respond
The person may point, look, gesture, touch, or indicate a choice in their own way.

There is no single “right” way to communicate. Every attempt counts
