I am a co founder of Aarambh Foundation. We have different programs suitable to each age group like early intervention, vocational training, communication, language development etc. My role in this is to design these programs, execute them with the team, teach children, and work on inclusion.
I have been working as a SLP with a focus on early speech and language intervention and children with language delays and/or social communication disorders. I have over the years tried to develop my skills and expertise in other areas such as Motor Speech Disorders and Feeding issues. I have always been fascinated in holistic approaches and strongly advocate the need to build a strong foundation of social competence in them. This has led me to the various certifications I have taken up including РAn Introduction to Play Therapy for children with special needs, More Than Words РThe Hanen Program for Parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders & Social Communication Difficulties, Oral Placement Therapy (Level 1 and 2), PROMPT (Introduction and Bridging), Implementing Social Thinking Concepts and Vocabulary, Social Thinking РThe Informal Dynamic Assessment and Core Treatment Strategies, STAR Institute for Sensory Processing РLevel: Diagnosis and Treatment of SPD, Feeding Therapy РA sensory motor approach (Level 1) and now the ACAP. This has helped me commit to supporting the child and the most important people in the child’s life to encourage the best possible outcomes for speech Рlanguage, communication, social and early literacy skills.
Working as school psychologist cum coordinator. I conduct psychological assessments and cognitive therapy for students. Coordinate the preschool department and it’s functions.
